Black coffee, typewriters, and Merzbow

Good morning IMG_20250904_041413763_HDR Funny Face mug is waiting to be washed, so I we have blank mug here today next to the electric typewriter. Don't worry, Consair took the morning off. It's still in bed. Bed meaning, it's on the desk shelf. Desk shelf meaning, on a banker's box.
IMG_20250904_041418647_HDR It will return this evening for the freewriting piece. I love working with both these things now. After writing a bit with the electric, and also writing a piece last night on the manual, I'm starting to get a feel for what I can use each for. So I think the electric will be used for the poetry because of that beautiful daisywheel in it, also I can easily do some cool spacing with it quicker when in a creative flow than with the other one. But Consair is my heart. I love that little one. I've had it since the mid-90s, so we have so much history. We have such a bond together. So it is going to be used for more structured stuff and travel as it's so light and easy to pack in its case.

Anyway me gushing over my love of typewriters is enough. I should get to the song shuffle of the day. It's by the harsh noise (or I've also heard this genre called uneasy listening which I love that name) artist Merzbow off their Venereology album released in 2019. Screenshot_20250904-041455

You can purchase this album and others by them on their bandcamp

Have a great Thursday, and I'm going to get back to getting acquainted with my new typewriter child.
