Coffee and Crow Ravine

Good morning, IMG_20250928_041618973_HDR What a long journey I've had with my new computer. The computer is amazing! Fastest computer I've had in a long time. I've been through a desktop and a laptop and this little dude is far better than those. Also so small, it takes the place of my business laptop. Just hook it into a monitor and it is good to go. Takes less space and weight bike commuting with as well. IMG_20250928_045448561 Note: Turtle made of sweetgrass was not included.

It's a Kamrui mini computer and my god for the price I paid, all together $300, it is amazing! I love the little thing. What I didn't love is the wait to windows 11 to upload on it. Once that happened, I went to run linux on it, found the two main things I use on the daily, my printer/scanner/fax (yes I still use fax. Me and some friends fax eachother dumb stuff on the daily, and I've been using it for business now etc.) also a couple of other programs I use for personal and business did not run on linux, and expecially business and printer wise, I couldn't find or have the option to switch to linux. So seeing that, I had to uninstall linux, as for a couple of programs that I was able to find alternatives for, I just didn't see it viable that I make the full on switch.

So hang my head down and returned to windows, however, I did find a video on how to debloat your windows 11 with something called CrapFixer on github. Wow! It removed all that junk bloatware, ai, trackers, crappy apps that you can choose to take off, making it basically just an operating system. It can't remember things like windows edge, but I don't use that anyway I use Vivaldi as a browser, which I love. I moved to one monitor and it's a multitasking browser godsend for me. Also love no ai, and has some cool features I can pick and choose. Anyway, so I found a debloated windows to be wonderful. I mean look at that clean task bar! All that's there is what I'm using right now or I pinned myself. Screenshot 2025-09-28 051139

So though I'm using windows and not linux like I wanted to go back to, it's great. Kudos to people making something like CrapFixer. They are doing god's work in my books.

Anyway, onto the song of the day which is by the artist Crow Ravine. IMG_20250928_041733833

The song is off a noise compilation that I have called Noise As A Form Of Expression Vol. 3, but is originally off their Glimpse Of Good Intentions release. The song is called Godfather of All Wars.

If you are into experimental, power electronics/harshnoise, check them out on their bandcamp

So that was my weekend so far. Everything is back to normal in Distopian Junk Mail headquarters, and it's back to business as usual. Have a great Sunday, and I'll see you all later with the freewriting post. Also, if you are subscribed to the RSS feed, a secret page will be popping up later as well. Just a funny thing that is kind of an inside joke with some people I know, but some others will get a laugh out of.
