Good Night

goodnight

The sky is a deeper blue, deeper than you. It sounds true like a lie that eyes close to. I told you that the window knew, it hit the ground and you went running out of it, into the streets where heated concrete burned your feet. I said my goodbyes. I said it to the earth and sky. I ignored the sea who was on your side. How the dark comes quickly now at 7pm. Street lights blink their eyes. Before they knew it, you ran by like a bird dashing into flight. Good night to you. Good night to the sky and good night to the earth who sleeps with the sea in its arms.
